Tank Construction Repairs and Coatings
Under this Task Order, Pond Constructors performed various repairs and upgrades to petroleum tank systems at fifteen locations throughout the continental United States (CONUS). The work was performed under the direction of DLA-Energy’s Centrally Managed Program with input from the DLA SRM Group. The initial statement of work included base repairs and upgrades to each tank to comply with current UFC 3-460-01 and AST Standards where they applied. As each tank was inspected, the scope was revised to include additional repairs needed to bring the tanks into compliance.
Repair work completed under the Task Order includes:
- Tank bottom replacement
- Cathodic Protection installation
- Installation of flexible membrane liners for secondary containment
- Installation of high/low level alarms
- Tank coatings and linings
