ATLANTA – (June 8, 2023) – Pond today announced that Brian Yerby, PE, PG, U.S. Army Reserve Lieutenant Colonel, Retired, has joined the firm’s Federal Business Development Team as a Pacific Region Client Lead. In this role, Yerby will be using his extensive experience with military operations in the Pacific Theater to build relationships with new clients and service existing accounts in the Federal sector.
Yerby has over 30 years of service in the U.S. Army Reserve (20 years active), most recently serving as Public Works Director and Regional Engineer for the 9th Mission Support Command at Fort Shafter, Hawaii, where he was responsible for a $500M facility portfolio including Alaska, Hawaii, American Samoa, Saipan, and Guam. He served as Division Chief for U.S. Army Reserve Facility Plans at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and was Program Manager for Combined Security Transition Command, Kabul, Afghanistan. Yerby has experience in the private sector, serving as Project Manager for heavy civil, site, highway, bridge, airfield and industrial projects in Florida and Alabama.

Yerby is a licensed professional engineer (PE) and a professional geologist (PG) and holds a bachelor’s in civil engineering technology from University of Alabama and a master’s in geological engineering from Missouri University of Science & Technology. He also attended U.S. Army Inspector General School at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, and U.S. Army Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.
