Michael Fontaine Joins Pond to Advance Chemical and Industrial Markets

ATLANTA – (Sept. 30, 2025) – Pond & Company (“Pond”), an industry leader in engineering, architecture, planning, and construction management services, is pleased to announce the addition of Michael Fontaine as Business Development Manager - Chemicals, supporting the firm’s chemical manufacturing sector.
In this role, Fontaine will leverage over 20 years of experience in the hydrocarbon, petrochemical, and power generation markets to support Pond’s growth in the chemical and industrial sectors. His background in project management, industrial safety, and front-end engineering design (FEED) will allow him to deliver tailored, technically informed solutions to clients across a wide range of industries.

Fontaine has a proven track record of guiding public and private sector clients through complex challenges, beginning with feasibility studies and regulatory compliance to plant upgrades and process optimization.
His expertise spans the power generation market, with applications in data centers and chemical manufacturing facilities. He also has a strong background in combustion safety across industrial environments. He brings specialized experience in sanitary process design for pharmaceutical (API) production as well as food and beverage operations, particularly breweries and distilleries.
Fontaine brings specialized knowledge in pressure relief systems and safety protocols for active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) plants, battery manufacturing facilities, and recycling. A certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Fontaine is actively involved in key industry organizations, including the American Petroleum Institute (API) and the Design Institute for Emergency Relief Systems (DIERS), a technical entity within the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE).
