Piedmont Natural Gas (PNG) | Reroute of Line 1 Around Vulcan Materials - Richmond, NC

This project consists of rerouting approximately 1.8 miles of 16-inch steel transmission pipeline located on Piedmont’s Line 1 in Richmond County, North Carolina. The abandoned pipeline section will also remove from service Line 27 to Cascade Tissue. This reroute will require railroad coordination and permitting with Vulcan Materials and CSX Railroad.

Key Elements:
Installation of approximately 1.8 miles of 16 inch steel high pressure pipeline in new permanent easements.
Environmental evaluation and permitting of streams, wetlands, and other challenges.
Phasing plan for retirement of existing facilities.
