Piedmont Natural Gas (PNG) | Reroute of Line 1 Around Vulcan Materials - Richmond, NC
This project consists of rerouting approximately 1.8 miles of 16-inch steel transmission pipeline located on Piedmont’s Line 1 in Richmond County, North Carolina. Pond provided engineering design, survey, SUE and environmental services as well as teaming with Piedmont’s land management team. This project also includes tying in Piedmont’s Line 19 lateral for industrial and residential customers south of Line 1 and capping Line 1 at a key location to abandon Line 1 from this point to the west to Vulcan Materials. The abandoned pipeline section will also remove from service Line 27 to Cascade Tissue. This reroute will require railroad coordination and permitting with Vulcan Materials and CSX Railroad.
