Pond is pleased to announce Rodney Hoke recently joined its Fueling Group as Program Manager, where he will continue to successfully grow its Commercial Aviation Fueling and Midstream sectors of the Oil and Gas Group division.

Hoke is an accomplished mechanical engineer and project manager, bringing more than 25 years of experience in the planning, design and inspection of airport fueling systems, including petroleum storage and distribution facilities. With strengths in both project management and business development, he successfully initiated and managed projects with budgets topping more than $250 million.

“I was attracted to Pond due to its outstanding reputation in the airport and aviation fueling market,” said Hoke. “This is a great opportunity to join a growing company and help take it to the next level.”

After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Mississippi State University, Hoke steadily worked his way to senior project manager and engineering department manager for firms in Florida. For URS Corporation in Tampa, Fla., he managed its Commercial Fueling Group, which focused predominately on the design and engineering of airport fueling systems throughout the U.S. and the Caribbean.

Most recently, he served as Engineering Department Manager with Alpharetta, Ga.-based Kinder Morgan, where he successfully completed petroleum storage projects for Kinder Morgan Southeast Terminals, Plantation Pipeline, Central Florida Pipeline, BP Phoenix Holdings terminals and Transmix refining operations.

In his career, Hoke received both the 1999 Engineering Project of the Year award from the Florida Institute of Consulting Engineers, and the 2000 Construction Project of the Year for the New England Region of the Construction Managers Association of America (CMAA), for his management of the construction of a $65 million aviation fuel storage and distribution facility at Boston Logan International Airport.

Lorraine Green, Senior Vice President of Oil and Gas said, “Rodney is an exciting addition to our team because of his vast experience on both the consultant and operator side of the business. The experience he brings strengthens our team’s core abilities and knowledge of the market.”
