Building Assessments for City of Norfolk - Norfolk, VA
Pond provided facility condition assessment services which produced a facility condition report on City of Norfolk owned buildings for an estimated 3,486,770 square feet of building area which represented approximately 99 buildings. These buildings included cultural facilities such as theatres, opera house, memorials, minor league baseball facilities, maintenance facilities such as municipal buildings, school administration buildings, fleet maintenance, traffic operations, rescue training center, 16 fire stations, nine city libraries, cruise terminal, neighborhood centers, police facilities, 25 recreation centers, central energy plants and miscellaneous support structures. Entertainment facilities and arenas were also evaluated as part of the facility assessments. The Preliminary Energy Use Analysis analyzed historic utility use and costs and developed the Energy Utilization Index (EUI) of the buildings which determined if additional analysis would produce any significant projects.
