Pond's team of chemical and mechanical process engineers are experienced in a wide variety of industries including specialty chemicals, power and energy, renewable energy, water and wastewater, food and beverage, ethylene oxide and E-Beam medical device sterilization, air pollution control, pulp and paper, and pharmaceuticals.

The process engineering group supports feasibility and capital funding studies complete with cost estimating and critical path scheduling.  Services continue into the basis of design, basic or preliminary engineering, and full detailed design. During implementation, we provide owner’s engineering services including startup and commissioning.

Typical services include process flow diagrams (PFDs), heat and mass balances (HMB), piping and instrumentation diagrams (PIDs), equipment specifications, PHA or HAZOP support, commissioning, PSV sizing and selection, various process calculations, and process safety management (PSM). The process engineers remain engaged throughout the project’s lifecycle including oversight during construction and the important steps of startup and commissioning to make sure a project is ready for successful operation.
