Repair Miramar Pipeline Anomalies, Phase 1 & 2 - Naval Base Point Loma, CA
Pond provided design engineering, environmental survey and permitting, and construction support services for thirty-one (31) pipeline anomaly locations along the 17-mile, 8-inch jet fuel pipeline from Naval Base Point Loma to Marine Corp Air Station Miramar. Environmental survey and permitting included surveys for protected species habitat, jurisdiction waters and other potential permitting constraints. Coordination with various local, regional, and federal agencies was vital in completing this project efficiently. Construction support entailed ensuring environmental compliance through avoidance of environmental impacts and monitoring of nearby protected species habitats.
