Atlanta Parks and Recreation Signage System - Atlanta, GA
The City of Atlanta Parks Department and Park Pride retained the services of Pond’s Landscape Architecture talent to develop design guidelines for a system-wide identity and wayfinding program for the City of Atlanta Park system and facilities.
Our team developed three primary concepts which were whittled down to one for full development into the City’s system-wide design standards. The signage program identifies a hierarchy of sign sizes and information to be delivered, and presents it in a modular format so that signage may be appropriately established for each park or recreational facility.
The new standards establish a clean system for delivering the necessary information and, equally as import, a visual identity and branding that will be consistent from park to park.
This project is the recipient of a 2019 Georgia Chapter ASLA Honor Award.
