Sustainable Design

Comprised of professional landscape architects and planners, our team is passionate about the environment through creating spaces that intrinsically enhance quality of life today and for future generations.

The Pond Sustainability Studio is comprised of professionals who are passionate in their dedication to environmental responsibility and sustainability from large-scale community and land use planning to the design and construction of truly innovative and sustainable projects.

Pond has become very familiar with the U.S. Green Building Council LEED Certification Criteria since its introduction in 2002. Green initiatives and commitment to sustainable and earth-friendly design are evident in the daily use of sustainable design principles firm-wide.

Even projects without accreditation, Pond considers green building and sustainable design strategies in every project and the day-to-day operations of the business as a standard practice. Pond identifies and sources products that meet LEED criteria, such as high-recycled content or locally produced materials, and use them in projects as a matter of responsible practice, both for the environment and the health and wellness of the building occupants.
