Georgia State University Recreation Building Renovations - Stone Mountain, GA

The Pond Design/Build team worked with Georgia State University to renovate and re-purpose buildings on their Indian Creek Recreation Center. The project consisted of renovations and modifications to three existing buildings on site, and several site work elements.

The “Outpost” was a concrete-block structure that was renovated to the high ropes obstacle course staging area, office, restrooms and storage room. The “Cottage” served as the property management offices, and underwent a complete exterior enclosure renovation to emulate the new lodge structure on property. The “Red House was the former caretakers cottage on the lower end of the property.  Renovations included new roofing, siding, gutters, windows and waterproofing. Additional site work included the construction of a monumental staircase from the area of the “Outpost” building to the new Activity Lawn; site lighting was also added to the Activity Lawn.
