North Oconee East Campus Greenway - Athens, GA

This project provides a critical trail link to the University of Georgia East Campus from the newest segment of the North Oconee River Greenway, on the north side of the Upper Oconee River. Pond provided design, engineering, permitting, and construction administration services for this locally and federally-funded project that involves a quarter mile of multi-use trail. The trail consists of 10-foot-wide concrete trail, elevated concrete trail, and a 235-foot-long steel truss pre-fabricated bridge. Pond’s LA Studio served as the design lead and provided project management for this multi-disciplinary team that includes our own civil engineering staff for hydraulic modeling and subconsultants for environmental, historical, and bridge engineering work.
