API 653 Inspection of Above Ground Storage Tanks - Craney Island, VA
Pond performed multiple studies and design for over 100 task orders including repair, maintenance and construction projects at 15 Naval installations throughout LANTDIV’s region under two consecutive Indefinite Quantity contracts. One of these task orders was for the out of service inspection of four 80,000 BBL JP-8 fuel storage tanks at Craney Island, Virginia.
Typical projects included design and rehabilitation of fuel storage tanks, bulk storage facilities and distribution systems, environmental regulatory compliance audits, Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) plans, integrity testing, storage tank management plans, tank inventories, leak detection, corrosion protection, containment areas, and facility response plans.

- Various fuel storage tank replacement designs
- Petroleum contaminated waste disposal plan
- Secondary containment systems
- SPCC plan/OHS spill contingency plan
