Construction Phase Services
During construction, Pond's design professionals provide construction administration (CA) services to facilitate coordination and contractor conformance with design documents. Once design work has delivered permit and construction documents, our architecture and engineering team serve as technical advisors on behalf of the owner during the construction phase of work. On projects with complex processes and critical equipment procurement, we often conduct factory acceptance testing (FAT) and site acceptance testing (SAT) programs utilizing our design expertise. Our design professional project leads understand the importance of timely and accurate RFI responses, submittal reviews and shop drawing reviews. Construction phase services are an important step of the verification of the owner’s project requirements. Onsite field observations by our design professionals during the construction phase position the person who understands the owner’s requirements in the active construction work to visually evaluate conformance with the project requirements. Field observation reports document the conformance, deviation, and progress of the construction activity. During the start-up phase, our construction administration services assist with the testing, startup, refining, adjusting, and commissioning of equipment and systems. The commissioning reports along with field reporting provide the punch list necessary for the contractor to complete their work. In the close-out phase, our engineers and architects collaborate to provide the final record drawings.
