ATLANTA, GA – (June 22, 2023) – Pond today announced the hiring of Erik J. Lagerquist, U.S. Air Force Lieutenant Colonel, Retired, as a Senior Project Manager for the firm’s Federal group. In this role, he will leverage his extensive experience in military civil engineering, project management, and leadership to support Pond’s Air Force clients in the U.S. and throughout the world.
Lagerquist’s previous experience includes 24 years of active-duty service as an Air Force Civil Engineer officer where he held various roles including team chief, project manager, program manager, and commander. After retirement from active duty in 2016, he continued to serve as a government civilian in roles including Design Manager for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and MILCON Programmer for the U.S. Air Force at Patrick Space Force Base in Florida. Most recently he served as Engineering Flight Chief at Ramstein Air Base in Germany where he led a team of 88 German and American engineers providing planning, programming, design, and construction support for more than 300 facility and infrastructure projects valued at more than $1 billion.

Lagerquist is a registered Professional Engineer in Texas and Florida. He holds a Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering & Construction from the University of Florida, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Norwich University. He is a Life Member of both the Society of American Military Engineers and the Air Force Association.
