CHARLOTTE, NC – (August 25, 2023) – Pond today announced that Juan Morales, PE, has joined the firm as a Senior Project Manager and Civil Engineering Lead for Pond’s new Charlotte office. In addition to project management, design, and project coordination, Morales will build upon existing business and personal connections to grow and develop civil engineering services in Charlotte. He will also play a key role in recruiting staff for Pond’s North Carolina location which is slated to open later this year.
Morales has 22 years of experience in site design, grading and drainage, hydraulic modeling and stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, environmental, and transportation. He will leverage this experience to serve Pond clients by providing project management, design, permitting, construction administration, and client relations services to new and existing partners throughout North Carolina and the Southeast.

Morales holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a double major in Water Resources and Structures from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, in Bogotá, Colombia. He is a registered Professional Engineer (PE) in North Carolina.
