Pond is providing engineering and design services for Philadelphia Gas Works' (PGW) cast iron and bare steel gas main replacement program. Pond has been tasked with preparing design drawings to be used for permitting and construction purposes while adhering to PGW and local agency design requirements. Typical projects include gas mains ranging from 1.25 inches to 20 inches in diameter and span between 1,000 to 6,000 linear feet. Pond’s efforts contribute towards PGW achieving its yearly PUC-driven cast iron and bare steel retirement mileage goals.
