Technical education serves to provide academic services to meet the economic and workforce development needs of specific area, solidifying its role as a cornerstone in our communities. A few years ago, Pond and its design partners completed a multi-building campus focused on sustaining their educational excellence into the 21st century. The updated campus leveraged current industry-leading technology and offered flexibility for expansion and future adaption as new advances emerged.

This space for flexibility has already served the campus well, especially in early 2020 as educational facilities and traditional in person learning were upended by Coronavirus pandemic. Nearly a year later, students have returned for modified classes. Our team revisited the campus to explore and address how the built environment can be used as a tool to ensure a sense of safety and control in a collective, collaborative setting.

In this video, the team discusses how the space can be accommodated and customized to maximize the experience for the end of user.
