Pond was selected by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources to upgrade campsites at the Red Top Mountain State Park campground in Bartow County, Georgia. Originally developed as a more rustic tent camping area, access roads were inadequate for RV use, comfort stations were obsolete, and the sanitary dump station layout blocked traffic exiting the campground.

Pond designed improvements to the entrance area traffic flow, widened campground roads, added sewer hookups, expanded water and electricity, and planned to replace three comfort stations. Family amenities include the addition of lighted walking paths to comfort stations separating pedestrians from campground roads.

During construction, the client procured additional funding, and Pond quickly developed a change order design package to add 12 yurt platforms overlooking Lake Allatoona, among other additional site improvements. Pond delivered construction documents, permitting, bid, and construction administration assistance services.
