Pond is pleased to announce that Glenn Martin joined the firm as project manager for the Environmental Services group. In his new role, Martin will manage environmental projects, including water/wetlands permitting, Endangered Species Act compliance, NEPA analysis and documentation, corridor studies for transportation, military and energy projects, while growing new business lines for the group.

Martin brings more than 11 years of environmental project experience as a senior ecologist and scientist with expertise in stream and wetland delineation and assessment, coastal permitting and conducting Endangered Species Act studies. He has delineated and permitted hundreds of miles of corridor studies and hundreds of acres of site work for energy, industrial, military and development projects.

“Pond offers the right capabilities, has the right relationships and backs it up with a deep bench of skilled staff. I’m very excited about the future here,” said Martin.

His previous projects include mapping the geographically isolated wetlands of Dougherty County, located in southwest Georgia, as well as managing the ecological surveys and studies for several high-profile road projects in and around the metro Atlanta area.

Working as Ecology Lead, with the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT), he supervised the ecological field studies—waters and protected species—for the addition of tolled lanes and widening along a 10-mile stretch of I-85 in Gwinnett County, Ga.

“Glenn is the best of the best in environmental consulting. He adds incredible value for our clients, external and internal and is clearly a go-to person for our teams,” said Stephen Bailey, program manager for Environmental Services.

Martin is a professional Wetland Scientist and Certified Ecologist, a member of the Georgia Association of Environmental Professionals, the Ecological Society of America and the Society of Wetland Scientists.
