Pond is pleased to announce the recent hiring of Stephen Bailey, PWS, as program manager and founder of the new Pond Environmental Services group. Bailey is quickly building a robust new team of ecologists, NEPA professionals, environmental engineers and GIS specialists; growing new business lines and supporting Pond’s many clients.

Bailey brings with him extensive experience delivering complex federal, state and local environmental regulatory solutions to a wide range of industries, state and federal clients and, landowners, and, at the same time, assisting them in maintaining environmental compliance, while managing multi-million dollar project budgets and schedules.

As an ecologist, wetland scientist and resource manager, Bailey continues to use his practiced knowledge of environmental laws such as the Endangered Species Act, the Clean Water Act, and state regulations to successfully manage and permit projects for hundreds of miles of corridors and thousands of acres for energy, transportation, federal, restoration, enforcement/litigation and environmental remediation projects.

“I am thrilled to be starting and leading Pond’s new Environmental Services team,” said Bailey. “Pond has excellent clients, dedicated professionals and great leadership that is a winning combination. I know our team will add value to new and existing clients.”

Previously, Bailey founded the Ecological Services group as lead and project manager for Portland, Maine-based Woodard and Curran, where he managed many energy, permitting and restoration projects including Atlanta Gas Light’s STRIDE program, a series of large capital pipeline projects benefiting the citizens of Georgia.

Bailey is a Professional Wetland Scientist and a 2016 graduate of the Institute for Georgia Environmental Leadership. He is a member of the Georgia Association of Environmental Professionals, Southeastern Ecological Practitioners, the National Association of Environmental Professionals and the Society of Wetland Scientists.
