ATLANTA – (02.15.21) – Pond, an industry leader in engineering, construction, planning, and architecture services, welcomes Rick Polo as Pond’s Client Account Manager for the U.S. Army.
Before migrating to the private sector, Polo retired as a U.S. Army Engineer Colonel and a well-respected senior leader. He commanded two separate United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) districts in New York and Detroit. Between these commands, he served for three years at USACE headquarters in Washington, DC for the Commanding General / Chief of Engineers in the Commander’s Planning Group, and later in the Pentagon as the Executive Officer for the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works.

Polo will work closely with the various USACE districts, as well as other Army Commands and Agencies, to match their development needs with Pond’s client-centered planning, engineering, architecture, and construction management services to best support their mission needs, and readiness, and advance their organizational goals.
Polo is a degreed engineer and a registered Project Management Professional. He holds a Master of Science degree in National Security Strategy from the National Defense University, a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.) and a Bachelor of Science from the United States Military Academy, West Point.
