Emer Flounders, PE – Asset Integrity Technical Director
Emer Flounders, PE joins Pond as Asset Integrity Technical Director in its Energy group. In this role, Flounders will be responsible for growing Pond’s technical expertise and expanding client reach across the US. His leadership of Pond’s Mechanical Integrity, Corrosion Control, Coatings, and Pipeline Survey divisions will support the continued growth of these programs. Flounders’ 40 years of experience in Materials, Corrosion Control, Coatings, and Pipeline Integrity spans the oil and gas, water and wastewater, power generation, marine and transit industries. Working with both private clients and government agencies, his past investigations include failure analysis, materials selection, cathodic protection, stray traction current, and atmospheric corrosion. He also specializes in coatings, water treatment, design, corrosion studies, reinforced and prestressed concrete, pipelines, and storage tanks.

 

Nick Villar – Senior Project Manager
Pond welcomes Nick Villar as a Senior Project Manager in the Energy Program. In this role, Villar will be responsible for developing and managing utility clients and projects within the Northeast Region. With over nine years of project management experience in the oil and gas industry, Villar has extensive knowledge in distribution gas main replacement, utility construction, and DOT regulations. He is a dedicated professional, strongly skilled in building and maintaining lasting client relationships, and identifying and understanding client needs. He is a University of Maryland graduate where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
