ATLANTA, Georgia – (7.23.18) – Pond, an industry leader in planning, architecture, engineering and construction services, announced today, the addition of Tomoe Luke to Pond.

Tomoe brings more than 23 years of diverse experience working with the Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC), Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC), Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Energy, United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and various industrial clients at Pond’s Hawaii office.

She has been involved in the project management of many POL, construction, and environmental projects in Japan, Hawaii, and Saipan. Luke holds Professional Engineer (State of Hawaii), API-653 Tank Inspection, API-570 Pipeline Inspection, and NAVE CIP Level 1 Coating Inspector certifications.

“I believe Pond is emerging as the fuels construction leader in Japan, and I’m excited to be a part of their continued success,” said Luke. “Pond is a unique firm with a wide range of experience in design, construction and maintenance knowledge. They bring fresh ideas, coupled with quality project execution, which is beneficial to our clients.”

After graduating from Keio University with a B.E. in Chemical Engineering, Luke attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa to study oceanography; she would eventually shift her focus to fuels and meet the Pond team while working on a joint project. When Pond opened the Hawaii office, and after a conversation with Vice President Kris Allegood, she became part of the Pond team.

“I was fortunate to meet Tomoe on a project many years ago, she’s a team player who works well with field staff and management teams in harmony,” said Allegood. “Luke has worked hard to establish relationships with local Japanese subcontractors in various trades and we know she will be a great addition to our Pond Hawaii office and an integral team member as we continue our venture into the fuels industry in Japan.”
