A new group of Senior Associates and Associates were recently named at Pond, an industry leader in planning, architecture, engineering and construction services. Program Manager Gary Arnold, AIA, LEED AP BD+C has been involved in all aspects of design, project delivery and program management for multi-discipline A/E contracts supporting the missions of Federal and Local Governments for the past 18 years. Gary is also the manager of the Pond Virginia Beach office.

Senior Electrical Engineer Bill Carpenter, PE has 27 years of progressive electrical power and controls engineering experience. Bill has managed the electrical designs and upgrades on projects at many of the nation’s largest commercial airports and military airfields.

Lead Fueling Engineer Todd Eldridge, PE, LEED AP has worked in the oil & gas and processing markets for 17 years and has worked with a broad spectrum of clients, including independent bulk terminals, ports and harbors, chemical companies, rail providers and intermodal facilities.

A Senior Project Manager for Pond’s Fueling group, Chris Patterson, PE, PMP has delivered exceptional mechanical engineering services for both commercial and U.S. government projects for 19 years.

Pond’s National Guard Program Leader Mark Susa, AIA, LEED AP, REM Colonel USAF (Retired) has more than 30 years of experience in the planning, design, program development, budgeting and execution of U.S. Government building projects. Prior to becoming a consultant, Mr. Susa served in the U.S. National Guard for 24 years.

Senior Mechanical Engineer Theron Stancil, PE, LEED AP has 38 years of experience working as Mechanical Engineer, Project Manager, and Construction Manager on fuel system designs and construction administration projects for commercial and military fuel distribution systems. Throughout his career he has managed 250+ A&E projects, including planning and designing fueling systems for airfields of all sizes.

For 23 years, Project Manager Dave Yensan, RA, NCARB, LEED AP BD+C has provided assessments, planning, code review, programming, design, management and construction administration services for U.S. Government facility projects. He specializes in providing designs that not only meet U.S. Department of Defense standards, including Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection, but also help the client complete their mission.

Fueling Electrical Engineer Marcus Anderson, PE has 8 years of experience providing electrical engineering services on fueling and aviation projects, specializing in fueling projects on military airfield.

Pond’s Health and Safety Director Jim Davis, CSP, PG has more than 30 years of experience in professional safety leadership. Jim has more than 25 years of experience implementing the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers health and safety requirements contained within the EM 385-1-1.

Structural Engineer Will Haynes, PE, SE has provided structural design services for both commercial and U.S. Government clients for 15 years, and is an expert in designing structures to meet Blast Resistance and Structural Integrity standards.

With over 28 years of total experience in the power generation markets, Fueling Engineer Ron Hipp has specialized in the oil & gas and aviation fueling markets for the last 12 years. Ron’s design experience includes major commercial and military jet fuel hydrant systems, bulk fuel storage and transfer systems for all major fuels and lube and heating oils.

Architect Jorge Mendez, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, NCARB specializes in designing green and LEED-certified facilities for the U.S. Government. Jorge has 18 years of experience and has worked extensively with all branches of the U.S. Military.

Project Analyst Aimeé Miners has more than 20 years of accounting experience in the AEC industry. Aimeé is a member of the National Association of Professional Women and a graduate of Leadership Sandy Springs.

Program Manager Sam Smith has more than 33 years of experience in the construction industry specializing in developing and maintaining seamless communication between owners, architects and the construction team to ensure total team collaborations.

Andrew Swift, PE has 11 years of experience in civil engineering, including master planning, rezoning, site layout, permitting and flood map revisions. Andrew has worked with all branches of the U.S. Department of Defense.

Civil Engineer Kenn Ussery, PE has more than 20 years of design and construction experience. He specializes in infrastructure design work for the oil and gas industry, working with both commercial and U.S. Government clients.

Geospatial Technical Lead Kate Woods, GISP has more than 8 years of experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Kate has worked on numerous projects involving GPS data capture techniques and GIS data development for private, public and federal clients across the country.
