ATLANTA – (May 7, 2024) – Pond, a leading architecture, engineering, planning, and construction management firm, has hired Shanon Jones as Business Development Director for the firm’s growing Life Science & Industrial group. In his role, Jones will continue to expand Pond’s national and global market share in biocontainment and other laboratory environments – critical research institutions that demand high-level expertise and are important factors in protecting human life, animal life, and environmental health.
Jones joins Pond with more than 20 years of biocontainment and high containment experience, extensively in BSL2, BSL3, BSL3-Ag, ABSL3, and BSL4 facilities around the world. With experience on over 70 international projects and more than 20 within North America, Shanon brings a thorough understanding of the nature of designing safe laboratories and critical path technologies for safe research on dangerous pathogens within containment institutions.

Jones is a member of ABSA (American Biological Safety Association), EBSA (European Biosafety Association), ABSANZ (Australian Biosafety Association New Zealand), and IFBA (International Federation of Biosafety Association). He is also a former working group member of IFBA.
