ATLANTA, Georgia – (7.17.18) – Pond Constructors is honored to provide design-build services for the new Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) Highway Emergency Response Operators (HERO) unit facility in Marietta.

“We’re excited to continue our service to the Cobb Community,” said Project Manager Jim Mabry. “We are exploring different construction options to provide a cost-effective, and durable solution for the County and the GDOT.”

Pond Constructors will be responsible for erecting three structures at 862 Barnes Mill Road in Cobb County to house office/administrative spaces, a parking canopy, and a maintenance building to fit the current and future needs of this HERO unit. The facility will take advantage of the existing property layout to fit the campus into the context of the area. New curb cuts will be installed to minimize traffic impact.

“As a company, we truly appreciate the HERO program and all the good work they do for stranded motorists. We will design and build this facility to enhance their service mission across the northwest transportation corridor,” said Program Manager Sam Smith. “We’re proud to provide Pond’s full-service approach to design-build for GDOT and the motoring community.”
