CHARLOTTE, NC – (January 22, 2024) – Pond, an industry leader in engineering, architecture, planning and construction management services, is pleased to announce that Lisa Roberts has joined the firm’s Charlotte office as a senior project manager for the Planning, Landscape Architecture and Civil Engineering (PLACE) team. In this role, Roberts will expand client relationships in the Charlotte area and mentor staff to become the next generation of leaders.

Roberts joins Pond with more than 20 years of experience, with previous business experience as a founder and co-owner of a landscape architecture firm in Arizona. Her portfolio of work encompasses a variety of public spaces including streetscape, greenway, roadway, park and trail design, master planning, construction documentation, and project management. Roberts’ passion for working with her community has enabled her to provide supreme service to her clients, developing multidisciplinary teams to create spaces that are vibrant, connected, inclusive, context-sensitive and sustainable.

She has played a key landscape architectural and public engagement role in numerous award-winning projects, including the Marvin M. Black Award for Partnering Excellence from AGC of America, Outstanding Public Works Project from the American Public Works Association, and the Design-Build Excellence Award from the Design-Build Institute of America.

Roberts holds Professional Landscape Architect (PLA) credentials in North and South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Arizona. She is certified by the Council of Landscape Architecture Registration Boards (CLARB) and holds a certification as a Master Rain Gardener through the Clemson University Extension. She has served as Vice President of the Southern Arizona Chapter of the Women’s Transportation Seminar and as a Board Member of the Tucson Botanical Gardens.

She earned a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Arizona and a Bachelor of Science in Botany from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
