Doug RoseATLANTA, GA – (April 10, 2023) – Pond today announced that Douglas C. Rose, Jr., U.S. Army National Guard Colonel, Retired, has joined the firm’s Federal Business Development Team as a Civilian Agencies Client Account Manager. In this role, Rose will be using his extensive experience with both military and civilian agencies to build relationships with new clients and service existing accounts in the Federal sector.

Rose has over 33 years of service in the U.S. Army where he held leadership positions ranging from Platoon Leader to Brigade Commander, and staff officer positions at the Battalion, Task Force, Brigade, and Combined/Joint 1/2/3/4-star level staff positions. He served in numerous Combat Deployments to Afghanistan with the Special Operations Forces, served at the Pentagon as the Pakistan Division Chief for Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff, Pakistan and Afghanistan Coordination Cell, and as Military Advisor to the Special Representative for Afghanistan/Pakistan, Department of State.

Prior to retirement, Rose was the NORAD and United States Northern Command Director of Military Support at the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), leading complex cross-agency programs relating to national security and Defense Support of Civil Authorities.

Doug subsequently spent three years directing business development in the technology sector working in the Federal and Defense industry, providing both hands-on and strategic oversight for multi-million-dollar growth initiatives and programs, managing key stakeholder relationships, and expanding partnerships in a pipeline worth over $2 billion annually.

Rose holds a BS in Mechanical Technology from Lincoln University, a MA in Human Resource Management from Webster University, and a MS in National Security Strategy from the National War College. Among numerous other educational accomplishments, he is a 2017 graduate of the Harvard School of Public Health and Harvard Kennedy School of Government, National Preparedness Leadership Initiative Executive Education Program; a 2017 graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Lincoln Laboratory Homeland Protection Course; and a 2018 graduate of the General and Flag Officer, Homeland Security Executive Seminar, at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.
