ATLANTA – (9.25.20) – Pond welcomes Bob Ruch, US Army Colonel (retired) as Executive Vice President for Defense and Federal. With over 30 years of military experience and leadership, he will oversee Pond’s support to the Army, Navy, Air Force, and National Guard as well as Pond’s non-DoD federal clients.
Col. Ruch is a proven strategic leader who builds team-oriented, cohesive staffs, and devises innovative programs that get results for clients and their constituents. As the Commander of the U.S. Army Engineering & Support Center in Huntsville, AL he was responsible for more than 6,000 contracts valued at $2.5 billion annually in engineering, construction and technical services to support worldwide strategic programs, Army and Air Force installation facility repair and renewal construction, national energy savings programs, nationwide environmental and ordinance remediation programs, and overseas contingency operations.

Col. Ruch’s 30+ year military career also included leadership posts as District Commander for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Omaha District, District Commander for the USACE Philadelphia District, Division Engineer for the 1st Calvary Division, and Crisis Operation Construction Officer serving NATO in Belgium.
