LEED AP Senior Vice President - Industrial William Anderson Vice President - Energy Promotion Promotion Pond and its joint venture partner Frankfurt-Short-Bruza Associates (FSB-Pond JV) was awarded its first task order to support the U.S. Air Force with its newest stealth bomber, the B-21 Raider. Pond was awarded a $2 billion pool contract by the U.S. Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC) to improve infrastructure at airfields around the world. Georgia State University celebrated the opening of their new greenway space with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony. This space, designed by Pond, connects the campus to the surrounding city, enhancing the existing open space network and providing students with a gathering space that fosters a sense of community. HughWeaver was appointed corporate representative to the Georgia Airports Association Board of Directors. As the designers of this transformative project, we were excited to be part of the Emerald Trail groundbreaking ceremony for the first phase of the trail in Jacksonville, Florida. This phase, the LaVilla Link, is comprised of a 1.3-mile s e c t i o n t h a t c o n n e c t s B r o o k l y n t o L a V i l l a a n d t h e Rail Yard District. In October 2021, the team at Jacksonville Aviation Authority broke ground on Boeing’s new maintenance, repair, and overhaul facility at Cecil Airport and Spaceport. This marks a major milestone for a project that will create numerous jobs, promote future development, and further the growth of aerospace in Florida. Recognition In November 2021, the U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville, held a groundbreaking ceremony, signifying the beginning of construction for the Center’s new 205,000 square-foot facility on Redstone Arsenal.
