In addition to our extensive history of winning and maintaining federal contracts, our involvement with the armed forces stretches beyond the project realm. Many of our current and former officers have had multifaceted careers serving our nation. Pond’s CEO, Tony Parker was recognized within the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s 2019 “Veterans in Business” feature for his outstanding practices in business and ardent support of fellow veterans. Following the example of our leaders, our firm is perpetually looking for new ways to exercise generosity through donating, sharing and fundraising. This holiday season, we partnered with four non-profits that provide resources and support of various types to service members and their families. Employees donated to one or several organizations of their own choosing, and every dollar pledged was matched by Pond. Through the generosity of our employees, Pond was thrilled to raise $52,800 in 2019, 100% of which was donated to the following non-profit organizations. Being accountable, reputable members of our community propels us to pursue relationships and opportunities that improve the lives of others. Fisher House Foundation Fisher House Foundation helps military families by building comfort homes where families of hospitalized veterans and servicemen can stay for free. Located at military and VA medical centers all over the world, this program has saved military and veteran’s families more than $451 million in out-of-pocket costs for lodging and transportation. The accommodations provided by Fisher House Foundation give families “a home away from home” when visiting loved ones receiving medical care. Wounded Warrior Project The Wounded Warrior Project aids veterans and service members with combat-induced trauma transition to civilian life. Through the provision of recovery programs and a network of support, Wounded Warrior supplies resources to meet the unique challenges of warriors through every step of their journey. With the assistance of partners and donors, the Wounded Warrior Project uses their funds to honor, empower, and foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation’s history.
