16 Pond | www.pondco.com Pond in the Community Pond’s attended the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce Day at the Georgia Capitol in February. Over 50 business and community leaders gathered to meet with North Fulton County senators and representatives to discuss the community interests. Pond was proud to participate in ACEC Georgia’s “Introduce A Girl to Engineering Day,” a program that introduces girls to the field through fun projects and engaging activities! Pond attended the Savannah College of Art and Design career fair and met students pursuing careers in Architecture and design. Pond celebrated a great year at our annual Employee Appreciation Dinner! We had an amazing time recognizing the accomplishments of our team and enjoying each other’s company. A little snow didn’t stop the groundbreaking at the Asa Carlton, Inc. headquarters site! The Pond team worked closely with the construction firm to develop a unique office layout and provide specialized design services. Pond had great time in Boston at the National Guard Executive Directors Association’s annual conference! Pond helped keep Gwinnett Clean and Beautiful again by picking up litter, trash and debris on our adopted road. The NACE International Level 2 course hosted at Pond was a success! We were proud to host professionals from all across the industry for a week of lectures, discussions, and hands-on activities to prepare them to use the certification. The “Gwinnett 2040 Unified Plan” was recognized by Chairwoman Charlotte Nash and the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners for earning the American Planning Association’s (GA) “2019 Outstanding Planning Document”.
