West Griffin Livable Centers Initiative - Griffin, GA

Pond led a team of consultants to recommend alternative transportation, urban design, land use, and public investment solutions for this West Griffin study area. Pond’s transportation planners creatively incorporated long-range projects with practical, phased solutions for bicycle, pedestrian, and roadway infrastructure. These solutions had to accommodate significant amounts of vehicular and truck traffic while integrating more livable street conditions. Standard GIS maps were supplemented by extensive illustrations to effectively communicate transportation project options and urban design features with staff, stakeholders, and the public. Implementation was a key component of all projects to ensure that the plan will become reality. Pond worked closely with colleagues at City and County agencies to reach these goals.
