West End BeltLine Trail - Atlanta, GA
The BeltLine-
West End Trail was the first planned and implemented trail of the Atlanta BeltLine project, a linear greenspace project combining multi-use trails, economic development nodes, and transit, in a 22 mile loop around the City of Atlanta. Pond and its team of consultants completed design and engineering for two miles of trail for PATH Foundation and The Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. the Trail connects Westview Cemetery to Gordon White, and rose Circle Parks, and included a road-diet on White Street. Pond also developed the initial Wayfinding and Branding package for the BeltLine Trail, that identified trail amenities, branding opportunities and visual identity. The planning process included conceptual designs, illustrative renderings, final plans, cost estimates and construction documents. The Atlanta BeltLine extended the Westside Trail in 2017, and these two miles of trail continue to be an integral part of the Westside BeltLine experience.
