Virginia Avenue Pedestrian Improvement - Livable Centers Initiative (LCI) Morrow, GA

This Livable Centers Initiative (LCI) project provided streetscape improvements along Virginia Avenue in Hapeville, including decorative sidewalks and crossing demarcation, new landscaped medians, pedestrian-scale lighting, street trees, benches, trash receptacles, bicycle racks, and a gateway feature. All improvements were constructed within existing right-of-way. The gateway feature included a physical and visual marker for the City of Hapeville. The gateway includes signage, furniture, lighting, landscaping, and special paving. The brick paved plaza and park-like setting incorporates the design features from Virginia Avenue as well as existing city logos and symbols.
