Residence Inn is the global leader in the extended-stay lodging segment and is designed for long stays with spacious suites with separate living, working, and sleeping zones that provide guests with the space and freedom to travel the way they like to live. Pond was hired as the lead interior designer on this project that entailed a full renovation of public and guestroom areas. Given the importance of providing a home-away-from-home feel to guests, it was essential to use durable material combined with timeless elements. The renovation also included the 24-hour markets and the breakfast and outdoor area so guests can easily maximize their time and thrive while they travel. The Pond design team aimed to create spaces that guests were empowered to choose without constraints and areas that fostered socialization or quiet introspection.
