Pittman Park Concepts - Atlanta, GA

An historic 1960s modern architectural playground space remains tucked beneath grand old oak trees in the heart of Pittman Park. The City of Atlanta Parks Department has rediscovered this space while assessing existing playground structures. The Department wishes to relocate and build a new playground, and in doing so repurpose this unique 1960s formwork as a fitness pod. The space is to include exercise equipment, climbing structures, and a shade pavilion and picnic/grill area. The fitness pod is adjacent to the Pittman Park soccer/football field and will be a hub of fitness and athletic events activity. Pond has produced a 3D rendered concept of the re-envisioned space to assist in garnering support and raising funding for the work.
