Marietta Fire Station #56 - Marietta, GA

Pond provided full integrated services for design, engineering and construction for the new City of Marietta Fire Station #56, on Sawyer Road. Our approach to fire facility design is that the station is a “house” for each shift and each emergency services member – essentially a home away from home. This new fire station consists of is approximately 11,000 SF, has four-bays for a variety of apparatus. The program includes administration space, station dispatch, office, fitness room, day room and other service spaces within the administration area. Staff quarters are in bunked configurations. The master plan for future site development included conceptual programming for Public Safety Training Facilities and support operations.

The overall scope of work included site design, building design and engineering and construction and the project was developed via a Design-Build contract delivery method. The site development and planning addressed access easements, vehicular circulation, storm water management and landscaping. The design scope of work included fire services programming, building design, permitting and construction.
