Manatee Transit Fleet Facility - Bradenton, FL

The Manatee County Fleet Transit Facility is an FTA Tiger 2 Grant-funded project as part of a 25-acre complex for Manatee County and Manatee County Area Transit. The project included new administrative, operations and maintenance buildings, support facilities, fuel island, bus wash and recycling system and secure bus yard. Pond, through a JV with JNZ, provided full project management, architectural, fueling engineering and interior design services for the project. The facility is a state of the art building meeting all federal and state requirements.

  • Project included a separate single-loaded, full service automatic bus wash facility for cleaning 40’ standard bus and para-transit fleet for Manatee County Area Transit.
  • The new facility houses the Transit Administration and Operations staff and a Fleet building and vehicle maintenance facility.
  • The site also includes a fully automated bus wash, support building, fueling station and future capacity for alternative fuels stations.
  • Administrative staff parking and space to park ambulances, fixed route and paratransit busses, as well as a number of support vehicles on site was added.
