Lockheed Martin Upgrade Lighting - Marietta, GA

Pond Constructors upgraded lighting in a 509,000 square foot metal building used by Lockheed Martin facility maintenance at their Marietta, Georgia facility. The project included demolishing 2,700 fluorescent fixtures, installing over 2,400 high efficiency fluorescent light fixtures, running new conduit, new panels, and controls over the course of six months.

To further increase efficiency, the new lighting system is controlled by zone using multiple inputs to include time of day, occupancy sensors, and photocell. Installation and demolition were performed while the building remained in use by Lockheed Martin staff. It is estimated that installation costs will be recovered within eight years.
