Hilton Garden Inn - Birmingham/Lakeshore Drive, AL

Hilton Garden Inn is one of Hilton’s most popular upscale brands. To align with these brand standards, property management opted for a complete renovation at the Lakeshore Drive location in Alabama. Pond’s design team began this endeavor by adapting the existing layout to match the brand guidelines set forth by Hilton for Hilton Garden Inn properties. In the lobby, this adaptation included new pod-style check-in areas as well as moving the bar into a more centralized location to create a more inviting public space. Enhancements to the food and beverage services included the addition of an open-display kitchen for cooked-to-order dishes, a 24-hour, grab-and-go retail space, and a self-serve coffee bar featuring refreshed wood finishes that mirror those displayed in the lobby. These added features make travel seamless and convenient for guests on the go. Other highlights included in the redesign were increased natural light throughout the building and open-style seating in the hotel’s multi-purpose meeting spaces. These meeting spaces are designed to accommodate everything from impromptu meetings to cocktail parties. To cohesively tie the entire building into its newly created identity of timelessness and durability, the Pond team thoughtfully curated artwork for the property. These pieces are evocative of Hilton Garden Inn’s brand identity and are prominently displayed atop the renovated lobby fireplace and within prototype rooms. These aspects came together to provide a renovation that fit effortlessly into the high-end style of Hilton Garden Inn.
