Gateway Park Parking Deck - Morrow, GA
Pond provided design services for the streetscape elements between two key developments (Gateway & Clayton State University) and designed a 200-car parking deck in the City of Morrow. A key element to this project was maintaining pedestrian mobility through the linking of Clayton State University and the Gateway Development. The project required GDOT approval.
This project provided a vehicle and pedestrian network to encompass a “Town Green/Amphitheatre” along with planning for the integration of future improvements such as a Train Station, Pedestrian Underpass under State Route 54, adjacent Residential and Commercial Developments, and a Parking Garage. The parking deck was designed in two phases, phase one being designed to allow for future expansion. Phase two was designed with six levels of parking and a retail and residential level on top.
