Forsyth County Local Intersection Improvements - Forsyth County, GA

Pond provided full design, right of way and construction documents for improvement of eighteen (18) intersections throughout Forsyth County, including numerous intersections on State Routes. The improvements included safety, operational, drainage and capacity improvements, all of which were funded through the County’s current SPLOST program. Traffic studies were performed at each of the proposed intersections to determine the scope of the improvements. These traffic studies utilized the required GDOT methodology and format.

Improvements designed as part of this project include: addition of turn lanes, traffic signalization, roadway realignment, intersection reconstruction, and implementation of a new roundabout. The design scope included vertical and horizontal layouts, traffic studies, driveway profiles, drainage design, maintenance of traffic, erosion control, as well as right of way plans. Design is completed and construction has begun at many of the intersections.
