Fleet Fueling Facility - Cobb County, GA
Pond designed a new county fueling facility at County’s Fleet Headquarters to bring the County’s fueling system into compliance with current EPA standards. Construction documents were coordinated and designed to comply with current Cobb County, State EPD, and NFPA standards. The construction documents were designed to keep the existing adjacent fueling system up and running throughout construction.
Pond was tasked with two phases: Design and Construction. Design phase included construction drawings and specifications for the following: water line service extension with hydrants, stormwater drainage diversion system, pavement design, electrical connection to fire station, and electronic leak detection system with alarm. Bid phase included providing construction documents for potential contractors, answering Request for Information (RFIs), reviewing shop drawings, onsite inspections, and conducting bi-weekly construction meetings.
