C-17 Flight Simulator Addition - Charleston Air Force Base, SC

Initially, Pond in conjunction with NAVFAC SE, assisted Charleston AFB in preparing the Design-Build (D-B) RFP for execution of this project. Currently, we are providing comprehensive A-E services for this sophisticated facility.

Program requirements for the C-17 Flight Simulator Addition calls for a new high bay simulator room, all administrative spaces, loadmaster station (LS) area, computer room, CSSR classroom, briefing rooms, storage areas, restrooms, mechanical/electrical/communications rooms, utility/janitorial spaces and circulation.

The program also included designing the facility such that the addition would be provided with its own structural, electrical and HVAC systems so as to minimize disruption to the existing facility during construction.
