Berckmans Road Widening and Realignment - Augusta, GA

This flagship TIA project in Augusta, GA is widening Berckmans Road from Wheeler Road to Washington Road and realign the northern terminus at Washington Road to connect with Alexander Drive. The proposed design consists of two travel lanes with a center turn lane from Washington Road to Wheeler Road. The project also proposes to install a roundabout at the intersection of Berckmans Rd and Ingleside Drive/ Willowridge Drive, as well as replacing the existing bridge over Rae’s Creek. Two precast arch underpasses were installed in order to accommodate the large influx of pedestrians that attend the major events at the adjacent gold club. This project was constructed in two phases, with the roundabout currently under construction.  Project is on-schedule for completion in Fall 2020. Pond has served the City from Concept stage through Construction Administration.
