Bachelor Enlisted Quarters, EOD School - Eglin Air Force Base, FL
Pond provided design/build services for this new 4-story 57,000 sf building consisting of 2+2 modules and common support areas to accommodate a maximum of 240 personnel. The architectural design provides an efficient design of stacked floor plates with shared common spaces on each floor.
Other additions included new parking areas, two pavilions, and other site enhancements. Meeting the requirements of the Base ACP, each pavilion consists of a 12′ classic square shape with power, natural gas, grill, benches and trash receptacles. Incorporated into the landscaping design are berms, planters, and bollards to meet force protection requirements. The project incorporated LEED® Sustainable design standards.
