Amelia Island Ambulatory Surgery Center - Amelia Island, FL
The Amelia Island Ambulatory Surgery Center & Medical Office Complex consists of the renovation, restoration and upgrade of the existing facility (which was abandoned in 2010) back in to a function surgical center for neck and spine operations and procedures. The main function elements of the surgical space include two Class C operating rooms, one Class B operating Room (Procedure Room), Pre-Op and post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) elements; including step down recovery, and associated support spaces.
The Physicians Outpatient Office program includes exam rooms, x-ray diagnostic imaging, nursing stations, conference and Physician offices along with associated support spaces (restrooms, waiting, etc.). The Functional program and the need to bring the facility up to all current codes necessitated the reconfiguration of the primary ambulatory surgical center spaces and a wholesale redesign of the physician office space. Additional elements include the complete replacement of the mechanical units, additional fire protection requirements and upgrades, new finishes as well as site upgrades.
